The representatives of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights – Croatia visited the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Zagreb on December 4th 2015 and met with H.E. the Ambassador Shkëndije Geci – Sherifi.
They have introduced and informed H.E. the Ambassador with the activities of the YIHR Regional Network in the fields of advocacy for the establishment of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office of the Western Balkans and the more general initiatives towards guaranteeing freedom of movement of youth and other citizens in the region of former Yugoslavia.
The Ambassador highlighted that this is one of the most pressing issues for the citizens of Kosovo and has expressed Her willingness to provide institutional support for these efforts.
H.E. Geci – Serifi stressed the importance of freedom of movement in strengthening cooperation and social exchange in the region.
YIHR representatives informed the Ambassador about the upcoming visit of the YIHR regional team to Prishtina and have committed to keep the Embassy informed about and involved in the future efforts in advocating freedom of movement in the region.
